A few months ago, we reported on what seemed like little more than a childish fantasy or shameless marketing. But, now, New Balance has confirmed the imminent production of Unknown Pleasures shoes, according to Yahoo.
The shoes were designed by American artist Dylan Adair and, if the approval process goes as planned, their release will coincide with the release of Control, Ian Curtis' biopic.
This starts an interesting 'war' of sorts with Adidas, who have begun the planning stages for a New Order sneaker. I guess we'll find out who the Ian Curtis fans are on this one...
