In a recent interview, Jon Bon Jovi lashed out at Oasis and Robbie Williams, claiming "they couldn't fill a bar," as well as Pete Doherty and David Beckham, dismissing them all as nobodies. I wonder if Jon Bon Jovi could find this new place I just heard about, England, on a map... I hear these people sell out stadiums over there.

Why someone was asking Jon Bon Jovi, new-country superstar, about British stars is beyond me, but he had an opinion, nonetheless.

On Robbie Williams: "That guy? He couldn't fill a bar. He couldn't even sell 500 tickets." Come on! Get creative! Mock him for going into rehab to break his addiction to Red Bull, but don't claim he couldn't sell 500 tickets. The guy sells stadiums in other parts of the world.

He went on to say "Oasis couldn't fill a bar, either - and they're full of themselves." Let's ignore the whole "Oasis can easily sell stadiums the world over" and just concentrate on the US -- where they could easily and quickly sell out places like Radio City Music Hall.

Pete Doherty? "We're not familiar of anything other than his antics and the fact that he's always in trouble - I've never heard a single one of his songs." Okay, well, fair enough. Babyshambles never really broke in the US, but his band is also doing stadiums in merry old England, just so you know.

And for some reason, he decided to wonder aloud if David Beckham was "past his prime."

Like I said, I'm not sure why anyone would ask Bon Jovi about these specific people, but someone did, and well, he kind of made a fool out of himself. By the way, Mr. Bon Jovi, how are ticket sales for your 10-night stint in New Jersey doing? With tickets between $49.50 and $1,000 [minus Ticketmaster fees -- and yes, he does have a $1,000 ticket option listed on Ticketmaster], they don't seem to be selling all that briskly....
