While in NYC to check the progress of a play he's scoring, John Mellencamp stopped by the Colbert Report for a little sit down with Stephen Colbert.
As it often can be with Colbert, things are a bit awkward. Many of Colbert's guests don't seem to really get why they're there or what the hell Colbert is talking about and that certainly includes Mr. Mellencamp. He seems to be at a loss for words when Colbert said he completed his "Farm Aid Collectors Set" by having Mellencamp, Neil Young and Willie Nelson all on the show.
At the end of the interview the two got into a feigned tiff, including a shove from Colbert to Mellencamp and Colbert upending his interview table.
Also, stay tuned for an acoustic version of Mellencamp's "Our Country." You can watch the video here.
