Ja also hooked up with a little known dude you might have heard of named The Game, for one track on The Mirror called "Sunset." Both rappers have longstanding feuds with 50 Cent but Ja says he wanted to differentiate his music from other rap by refusing to be negative. Instead he just "wants to make good music," according to SOHH.
The whole industry is so focused on beefin' with each other - it's like the WWF of rap right now. I'm stepping out of the arena. I don't want to be a wrestlin' rapper. Somebody's got to come in and make it positive. You have to make records that make people feel like having a good time.
Yeah, so let's get grandpa gravel-voice on a track. Nothing makes me want to party more than a dude who needs to clear his throat.
Anyway, the first single from the album features Lil Wayne, "Uh Ohhh."
The album also contains "Father Forgive Me," which includes a sample of The Beatles' "Elanor Rigby." That should be a trip.
