JC Chasez has revealed a tentative title for his new album, which comes out in late March/early April: Kate. And funny story, this title came from an imaginary woman that acted as Chasez's muse through the making of the record.

Chasez explains: "It came about when I was writing the album. In each of my songs there's not one instance of my life, but a group of experiences. Some of it is my imagination, so I created a muse, an imaginary person. After a while, in order to focus, I gave the muse a name - Kate. As the album progresses, people get to know this person's ups and downs, falling in love and falling out of love."

Hey, we all have our imaginary muses -- hell, my muse Sha'miqua helped me get through an extremely difficult 2005 -- but I think sometimes it's best if you keep your inspirations a mystery.

Chasez, who apparently has never heard of an iPod, went on to say, "People connect to music mostly through the radio, in the car or at home, so it's important to me to reestablish those relationships again, to build up fan contact. I am able to come out and get their point of view and tell them the story why this record came to be."

Besides Kate, the album also features guest production from Justin Timberlake.
