Boyz II Men. What a name. Not only did they change the ‘s’ to a ‘z’, but they took an even more ambitious route by changing ‘to’, not to ‘2’, but to ‘II’. Damn.
But all kidding aside, these guys have been around since people were still unsure about what the difference was between R&B and boy band pop. Hell, their songs are pretty much clear to play on any radio station besides Radio Disney. That’s nearly unheard of today. They use the term jezebel in one song—not ho, not bitch—jezebel. Seriously.
So Boyz II Men have put out some hits, to say the least, and more than a few have been turned into popular ringtones. The best one, in my opinion, is It’s So Hard To Say Goobye To Yesterday. They just sing it with such feeling that you can deny the reminiscent part of your brain when the tune starts.
I don’t care who you are or where you’re from, Boyz II Men is a group you like if not love. There is nothing flawed in their sound. It’s full and deep, and you can’t help but enjoy it.
