Here's a list of all the things I like about Hinder:
1) They had a video with Sloan from "Entourage."
2) ...
Umm, yeah, that's all I got. Let's just say I'm not a fan.
On the other hand, as cheesy-yet-awesome 80s songs go, Eddie Money's "Take Me Home Tonight" is one of the best.
So what happens when awful and awesome collide? Apparently awful wins. Hinder is releasing a deluxe edition of its Extreme Behavior album with five new tracks; it will include live versions of "Get Stoned" and "Room 21" as well as covers of Bon Jovi's "Bed of Roses" and Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild." But the most fascinating is the fifth track, a cover of "Take Me Home Tonight." Considering that every bar cover band does this song, Hinder's version must alright... right?
You've probably read the headline of this story, so you know that's not the case. Hinder's cover is painful. Listening to the song, I felt like I was one of those tribal warriors walking over hot coals, and this was a test of inner strength.
I could go on, but just listen for yourself and see how bad it really is.
