With a headline like "PREMIERE THE FIRST HIM SINGLE IN YOUR OWN BEDROOM" -- caps theirs, not mine -- one can't help but be excited, right? Wrong. Unless, of course, you're a sheet music-reading musical virtuoso. Then it's all good again. Sort of.
HIM have graciously put the sheet music to the first single off their new album, "Kiss of Dawn," online -- here, and have told fans to "perform it yourself before you hear it."

At the same time, it is kind of a neat contest:
Film yourself (or with friends) performing the song - three entries will be chosen to appear on the new HIM DVD - coming in early 2008! Those three winners will also get a copy of the DVD signed by the band. The three winners will be judged by the originality and quality of the performance. That's not much time, considering rule number one is "learn to play guitar or piano" and today is July 11th.
Oh well. I'm sure it's a great song. I just can't tell you for sure, since I can't read sheet music.
