An album of John Lennon covers called Instant Karma will be released on June 12th. The album will help raise money for Amnesty International and its campaign to end genocide in Darfur. U2 will provide the title track, while Green Day will have a cover of "Working Class Hero."
Other songs on the album include: "Mother" by Christina Aguilera, "Power to the People" by the Black Eyed Peas, "Love" by The Cure, "Imagine" by Willie Nelson, and "Real Love" by Regina Spektor. Jack Johnson and Big & Rich are also expected to contribute.
Green Day will be releasing a video for "Working Class Hero."
