Joel Madden of Good Charlotte and fiancé Nicole Ritchie conducted an interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer that will air this Thursday on "Good Morning America," and again on "20/20" this Friday. In the interview, Ritchie confirmed the rampant rumor that she is pregnant.

Said Ritchie:

Yes, I am. We are. I'm almost four months.

Considering Ritchie will be headed to jail on DUI charges sometime soon, Joel Madden might want to practice changing diapers. Hey, remember that song "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous," where Joel Madden complained about rich people and their attitudes? What did he say about marrying a socialite and appearing on "Good Morning America?" I can't remember.

Alright, I'm just joking about the whole rich and famous thing (well, kind of - he should give the money from that song to charity, but whatever). However, there is an important issue here. Did Nicole Ritchie hide her pregnancy so she could announce it on a talk show? Seriously? Is there anything people won't use as a PR tool? One of these days, some celebrity is going to get attacked by a serial killer, and narrowly survive. Then, when the police take them for questioning to try and catch the guy before he strikes again, the celebrity will be like, "Sorry officer, I can't talk about it, I'm holding out for a $4 million offer from 'Dateline.'" This will happen by 2009. Mark it down.

[Word on the street is that Christina Aguilera is hiding her pregnancy to announce in an interview - not that I necessarily believe any Aguilera pregnancy news, given some reports have tried to prove she's pregnant by showing her eating a donut.]
