So let's see. Since I have two My Chemical Romance stories today, let's start with that. First off, it's being reported that My Chemical Romance will be releasing a three-disc set [DVD? CD? Not sure...] called The Black Parade is Dead! on April 22nd. Since we know they recorded a Black Parade set in Mexico -- the last show they played as The Black Parade -- it's probably safe to say that will make it on to the DVD. They also recorded the small Hoboken, NJ show for some sort of release, so that will probably be on there, too. [Now is when I start hoping there are kind deities in this world and I can't be seen on it.] As for the rest? I don't know. Maybe some b-sides? Maybe the new song, "Stay"? It's all speculation at this point. But needless to say, I'm psyched.
In other news, Frank Iero has been using the Skeleton/Crew site to promote people registering to vote at www.rockthevote.com.
He's also suggested people donate money to the ASPCA, which is amazing because they really do a lot of good work for animals. He'd also like people to read Gandhi's autobiography [I saw the movie when I was a kid, does that count?], and do a selfless deed. This is all part of his new division of S/C called the K.G.B. He doesn't say what it stands for in his head, but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the Russian version.
And we have DeLonge news! I'm only telling you this because it amuses me, not so you will go and outbid me and shatter the dreams that TomZ and I never knew we had until we saw this auction. It's a piece of smashed up DeLonge guitar, which we would very much like to have to hang between our desk, as homage to the man who is changing our lives every single day. And yes, we realize it's probably fake. And no, we don't care. It's about the symbolism, and the experience of believing it was once in the hands of DeLonge.
Word on the street that I know will make one of our users pretty happy, The Spill Canvas and Jack's Mannequin will be touring together this year.
By the way, if you want to go to the Say Anything tour, tickets are on sale here. They're really affordable and I am happily awaiting mine to come in the mail.
And that is what is going on.
