The Goo Goo Dolls have scheduled a concert in Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre on September 6th as a way to raise money for L.A.'s Griffith Park. A large part of the park was destroyed earlier this spring by a fire.

The Goo Goo Dolls are currently on tour, and will remain on the road until the Griffith Park benefit. Tour dates can be found below, courtesy of LiveDaily.

What they should do is play the benefit in the park. I know that's tough with security, sound, etc, but it would make the show much cooler. Plus, for some reason, it seems like casual fans are more likely to go to an outdoor show than an indoor one. Not sure why that is. Maybe, if the show sucks, it's an excuse to pretend you didn't care. "Nah man, I just went to check out the park."
