The two-disc set is due in stores June 12th, and the singer had a few things to say about his favorite tracks on the set to Revolver magazine. Not surprising to Danzig fans, "Satan's Crucifixion" was his number one choice.

 

Of the song, Glenn said:

This one didn't get finished at the time because we originally just did it during Danzig 4p as a joke on Mark Didia [the band's label manager at the time], because he kept going, "the new record's not Satanic, right?" We finally had Eerie Von give this track to him and tell him, "They're fucking the record up! It's so Satanic, it's crazy!" Mark immediately got in his car and drove to the studio. He was losing his mind, flipping out -- "I want to hear this whole record NOW!" His eyes were bugging out of his head. We finally told him it was a joke. But I love the track. I listen to it now and it's so cool.

Danzig also listed "Crawl Across Your Killing Floor", "Warlok", and "White Devil Rise" amongst his favorites, for equally interesting reasons. "Crawl Across Your Killing Floor" was written about priests molesting kids -- which Glenn says he's happy is no longer ignored like it was when the song was written in 1994. "

 

Warlok" was meant for Danzig 5, but i didn't turn out how they wanted it to -- he loves that he had the chance to make the song he wanted.

 

Finally, "White Devil Rise" was written as a "fuck you" to Louis Farrakhan, wh Danzig says he actually agrees with -- on some things. However, he took issue with the whole "white devil" thing. He told the magazine, "You're calling me a white devil? That's great. Thank you! But don't blame me for all your fucking problems."
