I honestly mean no offense by this statement, but really now. The singer has asked to have statements about his fears of HIV, and his subsequent refusal to get tested for it, removed from a BBC documentary. The man is afraid he could have HIV, but won't get tested. What else can someone call him, other than "an idiot"?

George was interviewed for a documentary called "Stephen Fry: HIV And Me." During the course of his interview, George admitted he was afraid of HIV, and as such, doesn't believe in being tested for HIV. This is particularly disturbing as a partner of his, Anselmo Feleppa, actually died of HIV-related illness in 1995.

He later asked for his segment to be removed from the documentary, claiming it was too personal for Anselmo's family. The producers obliged, but that didn't stop them from talking to the press about what the singer said. One of the producers of the documentary, Ross Wilson, said:

George says he does not believe in tests. He says he finds the wait for results too harrowing and that he hasn’t had a test since at least 2004 due to his fears it might be positive.

As such, George Michael has officially entered the idiot hall of fame.

Then again, how does that old saying go? What you don't know won't hurt you?

Oh... ummm... wait. That doesn't really apply here.

Stay tuned for next week, when George Michael says he was misquoted and makes a public spectacle about getting an AIDS test.
