Brooks co-wrote one of the new songs on the album, "Midnight Sun," and recorded with Huey Lewis for a cover of Lewis' "Workin' for a Livin'."
Don't expect any singles downloads just yet though. Brooks wants to keep the album in tact and is refusing to authorize digital downloads as individual tracks. Well at least you don't have to go to Wal-Mart to get this one.
Brooks will be promoting the record but does not plan to tour behind it. He also played down questions about his physique at the press conference by admiring Keith Urban instead.
I don't know if you have your eyes open ... but Keith Urban is a beautiful guy. He can play the hell out of a guitar, he can sing his butt off, and he's a great entertainer. Well, that's just one of about 50 out there that you're gonna go face-to-face with this fall. And if you're not gonna bring your A-game, you're gonna get run over. So I'm gonna do my best, at 45, to try to represent myself the best I can.
