Remember that Family Guy where Brian watches the Blair Witch Project and says, "nothing's happening... nothing's happening... nothing's happening... it's over?" That's how I felt watching this video.

Fuel is one of my favorite bands, and the new Angels & Devils album is underrated (all 7 people who bought a copy will agree with me). But this is one of the most boring videos I've ever seen. I can sort of understand what the band was going for, what with the skyline and the live performance. But most rock videos have some sort of plot involving a mysterious girl or a troubled young teen, with scenes of the band playing in a desert mixed in. This video is all desert and no troubled kids.

The "Wasted Time" video is like one of those crappy movies that wins the Oscar for Best Cinematography, where you know you should appreciate the fine filmmaking, but instead you're just bored out of your mind. It also seems like a cross between Linkin Park's "What I've Done" and the Spice Girls' "Say You'll Be There," but without any social awareness or hot chicks in spandex. All in all, I'm not impressed.

Thankfully, the great part about music videos is that they're accompanied by a song. This is a pretty decent tune, and Fuel's a great band, so who really cares about the video, right?

Here it is...
