It's Friday and there are a bunch of small stories, so I've decided to put them all together rather than make a bunch of posts. I think this is a super idea because, well, it was my idea. So let's get to it....
You can hear a short clip of a new Death Cab for Cutie song, "I Will Possess Your Heart," here. Reports from the few elite people who have heard the band's new album [no, I am not one of those, so don't ask me for it] say it's their best work to date. It better be, considering The Postal Service is on indefinite hiatus, and I really love what they did with their album.
In other short sample news, Gym Class Heroes have made a snippet of a new song, "Don't Tell Me It's Over," available over at Travis' blog. The album will be called The Quilt. Travis also noted that his "controversial" post [the obnoxious one about Tyga] was just OPINION. I suppose this was in case there was anyone out there who believed his words were somehow etched in stone and undeniable truths. [Also of note: stating it was OPINION in no way makes up for the really crappy way he essentially said his fans were losers who would never be as successful as he is....]
Want to hear a whole song instead of a sample? The new PlayRadioPlay! song, "Forgiveness, The Enviable Trait," is available here. That's much better than a quick clip, isn't it?
Here's a sick tour worthy of note: Alesana, The Chariot, Sky Eats Airplane, LoveHateHero, and Our Last Night... all on the same bill. The tour runs from the end of this month through May, and covers just about everywhere you'd want it to, including New York, the red-headed stepchild of tours lately. Thanks, guys! I know that was totally for me:

...and after that, it's off to Warped Tour for Alesana. Good stuff.
Finally, we have video of Coheed and Cambria on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where they performed the new single, "Feathers." Note to Claudio: the ponytail? Not so much... let that hair flow free:
