Josh Duhamel is a big fan of Fergie. He has also been dating her for the past 3 years, which probably warrants mentioning. In a new interview with Best Life Magazine, Duhamel calls Fergie a "total star."
His quote:
She's a real total star. I'm more subdued than that. I'd rather sneak up on people. But that's what makes us work. We have similar fundamental values. We both grew up in similar families. She's just got a great soul.
The story of how they met is pretty funny too. Best Life explains:
He first saw Fergie in the "Hey Mama" video, and, like most guys, he gaped at the TV. "I was like, 'Whoa, who is that?'" By the time the Peas were booked to guest star on 'Las Vegas,' Duhamel was in full-on crush mode. He had even foolishly spouted off to InStyle magazine. "They asked, 'Do you have any naughty dreams?' I said, 'Yeah, I had a dream about that girl from the Black Eyed Peas the other night.' Sure enough, they printed it, and it was on newsstands when the Peas came to do Vegas."
He arrived at work early that day to watch the group rehearse. "After they finished, I was walking out, and all of a sudden she was walking toward me. I was like, Oh boy. She stopped. And this is so sad, but I said, in this desperate voice, 'You're hot!'"
Duhamel giggles. "The crush of a lifetime, and that was my line!" But then an interesting thing happened. She replied, "Yeah, I read InStyle. So...how was I in your dream?"
Duhamel stars in the upcoming movie Transformers.
I wish I could interview this guy for 1 minute. My first and only question would be, "So, dude... c'mon... you don't really like 'Fergalicious,' do you?"
