You know how, prior to World War II, the Nazis were able to take over much of Europe? They were greatly aided by a policy of appeasement, in which many European governments turned a blind eye to what was going on in a misguided effort to avoid a major war. The Nazis saw that no one was stopping them, and proceeded to take over much of the continent before a superpower had to intervene and stop them.
That's kind of what's happening with Fergie right now. She has had four of the most ridiculous and overplayed songs of the past couple years, and has permeated virtually every corner of society. Yet no one tries to stop her. We stand idle as she annexes the world with one annoying pop song after another. Now, Fergie has released a new video for the song "Clumsy," and her efforts to take over the planet show no signs of slowing down. This song is going to be a massive hit, and dammit, it's going to be overplayed and annoying!
People, I can't stress this enough: If we continue to appease Fergie, then one day there may be no stopping her.
In fact, I'm afraid it may already be too late. Bow before your new overlord...

[PS - I am in no way insinuating that Fergie is a Nazi. But have you heard "Fergalicious?" It's really, really bad.]
