Lil Kim and 50 Cent are both in a bit of hot water over Kim's 2003 single "Magic Stick," as a New York producer has filed a $2 million lawsuit claiming he's owed royalties.

Fantom of the Beat says he was promised royalties in addition to the $7,500 he received up front. He says his requests for a royalties audit have gone ignored. In place of the royalties, Fantom, born Carlos Evans, is looking for $1 million in compensatory damages as well as $1 million in punitive damages, as reported by SOHH.

The label fired back that they were still busy with paying for the sample Fantom used, Joe Simon's "It Be's That Way Sometimes." The single has been certified double platinum by the RIAA. Fantom has also produced for Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck and Busta Rhymes. His current MySpace quote is "I'M LAUGHIN STR8 TO DA BANK!!! HA HA HA HA HA.." Yes. You know that rules.

After the two recorded the track with Fantom, 50 and Lil Kim apparently had a falling out. According to the track's wiki entry, Lil Kim doesn't approve of 50's violent lyrics anymore:

I can't front. I don't have a lot of respect for 50 Cent because his music is hardcore ... violent, And I love his music sometimes, but I feel like in his personal life, his real life, he carries that on, and that's not a great message, you know what I mean? I think he promotes it.
