Vanessa Hudgens may be in the midst of a nude photo scandal, but her fans aren't turning their backs on the singer.
For those who don't know, photos of Hudgens -- one nude, several in underwear -- recently surfaced on the Internet. This caused some outrage, as Hudgens is the star of the movie High School Musical and an idol to many young kids.
Despite this controversy, fans of Hudgens are continuing to support the singer. Here are a few of the messages left recently on Vanessa's MySpace site:
"Vanessa stay strong! u will still be my role model."
"I'm so so so so sorry about what happened I can't believe someone would do that to you it's just wrong."
"Vanessa I still love you. I Support you all the way. You're my role model and you made me believe that anything is possible."
Hudgens even got in on the lovefest, issuing an apology to all of her fans:
I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos. I am thankful for the support of my family and friends.
Hudgens will not reveal how the photos got on the Internet in the first place.
Hudgens also canceled an appearance on "The Tonight Show" last week. She was supposed to appear on Thursday night, but backed out due to a "scheduling conflict."
