We start today with one miss pixie cursing the Orange Goblin that is Carson Daly. See, January 15th, Say Anything is doing a free "mini concert" on his show. Being me, I completely forgot that Mr. Tanning Bed himself relocated to California, as I have seen many bands on his show in the past, when he was in New York. After frantically signing up for the site, thinking "come on, come on, come on!!! Give me Max Bemis!!"... I saw the studio location of Burbank, CA. Ah, cruel world. Cruel world!! Anyway, if you're in California, you could go sign up here. The rest of us will just have to watch what they elect to show of the mini concert on television.
You hear that mournful howl? That'd be me.
Anyway....
The Audition has posted "Edinboro" on MySpace. Their new album, Champion, will be in stores on January 22nd.
Also on MySpace, there is a new song from Gwen Stacy. I really do like this band, when they're being the "hardcore" aspect of their three choices on MySpace, anyway. The "experimental" part? I kind of threw my headphones off at the laundromat the other day because of them. And the other? Moving on... but yeah, the hardcore is pretty damned good.
Every Time I Die has announced a run of tour dates prior to the Take Action tour. You can see the dates here, but you can't see the band if you live in New York. It really isn't my day, is it? I'm expecting to go home and have the landlord tell me "someone named Gerard Way was looking for you, but he said he couldn't wait around...." Anyway, Every Time I Die will be playing with Killswitch Engage and Dillinger Escape Plan for these dates.
Finally, we have a new video from The Used -- or at least we did. Unfortunately, in the time it took me to write this post, it was already yanked off YouTube. Oh well, I'm sure it will be on MTV later tonight.... hey? See what I did there? I made a joke!
