Reports surfaced late last night that Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance Married Lyn-Z of Mindless Self Indulgence backstage after the Colorado stop of Projekt Revolution. Apparently, a psychotic-looking woman [see accompanying photo... tell me I'm wrong] who works for LiveNation is also a minister and performed the ceremony.
From photos, the ceremony was low-key, and Mikey Way, Bob Briar, or Frank Iero are not visible in any of the pictures. But Ray sure did dress up in a lovely Pink Floyd t-shirt, so... I'm sure it was an incredibly touching ceremony.
The Channel 93.3 decor is extremely romantic, isn't it? The random people herded around? Awwww. Touching. Really. Some people go the flowers and candles route, but others go for radio station logos and a crazy lady who is a part-time minister, part-time concert promoter. I wonder what they had for cake -- HoHo's from the gas station up the road?
The rumors originally made it through the MCR fansites late last night, but as of this morning, Rolling Stone seems to have picked up on it, so I guess it's true.
As such, you'll have to forgive me if I'm a bit bummed today.
