Dwight Yoakam is planning a Buck Owens tribute, simply titled Dwight Sings Buck, for an October 23 release on New West Records.
Some of the money from the album will go toward the Buck Owens American Music Foundation, which helps preserve the Bakersfield Sound and Owens' legacy.
Look for the first single soon, "Close Up the Honky Tonks."

After his death, it was the clearest way I could express my love for him and acknowledge the depth of our friendship.
