For the available at the shows only release, The Wire Tapes, Volume 1, Dashboard confessional will be tackling a few covers. One of them, a stripped down acoustic version of "El Scorcho" by Weezer, is currently streaming online as of this morning. Is it any good?

It will be interesting to see what Dashboard fans think, as well as what Weezer fans think, as it's a pretty straightforward Dashboard song, but an interesting enough take on Weezer.
If you want to bu the album, it looks like you'll need a ticket to one of these shows... or you'll just have to buy a copy off some dude on eBay, I guess.
