In an effort to stop fighting in the Middle East, Bryan Adams will be performing in both Israel and the West Bank next week. On October 18th, Adams will play at a stadium in Jericho, then head over to Tel Aviv for a second performance.
The shows will be free, but all attendees will have to sign a petition for One Voice, a New York-based organization that is attempting to achieve an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement.
You might be thinking, "people in the Middle East will never get along, why even bother?!?" Well, you never know. Many people in the region strive for peace, but unfortunately there are some militant groups that just can't get along and ruin it for everyone else.
Luckily, Middle Eastern militia groups love Bryan Adams. They even have their own personal remix of "Summer of '69" that's quite popular. Take a look...
"Summer of '69 (Suicide Bomber Remix)"
I got my first real M-16
Down at the five-and-dime
Shots some infidels in the face
It was the summer of '69
Me and some guys from boot camp
We strapped a bomb around my wife
Sent her to blow up some kids on a bus
Those were the best days of my life
Back in the summer of Siiiixty Nine!
