Britney Spears' backing track skipped during a performance in Orlando this past weekend, making the singer's lip-synching blatantly obvious. Britney's track skipped 5 times during a 15 minute show on Saturday night at Orlando's House of Blues. AOL News reports that Britney "played down" the incident, whatever that means.
Of course, this has drawn comparisons to the Ashlee Simpson incident from "Saturday Night Live" a few years back, and Milli Vanilli. You know what's funny? The backlash from lip-synching eventually led one of the Milli Vanilli guys (Vanilli, I think) to suicide, yet it actually made Ashlee Simpson more famous. Which will it be for Britney Spears?
