Brad Paisley decided to take an unscheduled turn in the midst of his tour on Monday to head over to Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Paisley wanted to play his "most important concert" of the year for about 35,000 soldiers and their families.

"That just blew my mind, thinking about what they'll miss, especially leaving in September," Brad said, talking about the group's deployment.

"I also found out that a lot of them are [deploying] their second time at least. I thought, while we are in Nashville, if we can find a day, we ought to just set this up and play for them before they leave as a thank you and an opportunity to let their families take their minds off of it. It's the least I could do. What they are doing is so amazingly selfless as far as a career goes," Paisley said.
