Jon Bon Jovi is objecting to the name of and marketing materials for a new coffee-based energy drink called Mijovi. He wants the name changed, arguing that it is too similar to his. Dude might as well sue Lil Jon and Bon Scott's estate while he's at it.

Mijovi owner Marcos Carrington argues that the drink is named after his girlfriend, whose name is Jovita. Curiously, Carrington did include "words" like "itsmijovi" and "itsmilife" on the can and in certain marketing materials being used. Bon Jovi's lawyer objects to the use of both of these.

Apparently the full phrase on the can reads: "itsmienergy.itsmijovi.itsmilife." Although this may or may not contain subtle references to Mr. Bon Jovi, it's still criminally stupid, in my humble.

Anywho, in a letter, BJ's lawyer criticized the use of said phrases, spelling two of them as "It's My Jovi" and "It's My Life," to clarify how, exactly, the phrases relate to Bon Jovi. The latter phrase is a reference to the Bon Jovi single of the same name, according to the lawyer.

Carrington, who says "it's just unfair," argues that it was meant to mean "it's my jovial life." Question for you Marcos, what the hell does that really even mean?

Carrington said he would agree to stop using "itsmilife," but the drink name stays.

Regardless of what happens with this, is it really hurting Jon to allow the use of a phrase like "itsmijovi"?
