BET is kicking off the 2007-08 school year the way it should be done - with David Banner and Swizz Beatz. The station announced that it will sponsor the Black College Tour for the sixth year in a row.

The tour begins Friday, September 7, in Daytona, Florida before heading to Banner's hometown, Jackson, Mississippi and then on to Baton Rouge and Houston.

Fourteen historically black colleges and universities will host the shows over the course of the fall semester. The tour also includes games, entertainment and information geared at college students as well as opportunities to appear on several BET shows.

Other live performers expected for some stops on the tour include Mya, Q-Tip, Kia Shine and a few others.
