The three days at Zilker Park were hot! A propane tank exploded! Bjork's speaker caught on fire! Bob Dylan sucked!
Day 1
Zilker Park is located outside of the Austin city center and after a really long walk (that we later learned was completely unnecessary [free shuttles]), we approached the plume of smoke that enveloped the grounds. We later learned that two people were critically injured in the propane explosion.
After we were finally allowed on the grounds, the tasty, cheesy grooves of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones were enjoyed.

Daniel Johnston's rep was on display for all to see:
Blonde Redhead successfully transfers their studio sound to the live arena...Kazu Makino absolutely commands your attention.

I shook James Murphy's hand and it felt like pure gold. LCD killed it.

M.I.A is a H.H.S. (how hot situation), but her live show could use some work. I guess all hip-hop (if that's what you want to call her music) shows could use some work.
Queens of the Stone Age may have been the highlight of the fest. They are a real deal rock and roll band and one of the best around. No bullshit. No frills. Just rock.
Bjork, of course, made it weird. Her speaker make it weirder. And her crazy technological sound-makers (with computers from the future) made it the weirdest.
Late night, we raged the Hot Freaks! after party with some tunes courtesy of Grizzly Bear and Art Brut.
