An official press release from Chris Cornell's people reads as follows:
Cornell is permanently departing super-group Audioslave stating, "Due to irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences, I am permanently leaving the band Audioslave. I wish the other three members nothing but the best in all of their future endeavors."
Let the Rage Against The Machine rumors begin. I gotta say, I'm a big Audioslave fan. I know that puts me in the minority, but I love all their albums, especially Out Of Exile. Nevertheless, the Idolator article (linked below) is fucking hilarious, and I laughed real hard at the Penn State shoutout and the "Audioslave to headline Coachella 2014" comment. I highly recommend checking it out.
