Ashlee Simpson has officially denied the rumors that she is working with The Cure's Robert Smith or Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz for her new album.
"That was never true," Simpson tells Rolling Stone of the Smith collaboration. "I was like, ‘Oh my God, that is so not true and so embarrassing.' I am a huge fan, but would never expect to write with Robert Smith from the Cure. I mean, that would be a dream, but nothing that I would ever say. I was dying when I read that. I was like, ‘No! He's gonna think I'm crazy.'"
She also denied the Wentz collaboration, saying that the couple prefers to keep their work separate.
Simpson's album, due in November, will feature Timbaland, the Neptunes and Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes.
