...but it's not enough. All it takes is a few seconds of your time, and you -- yes, you -- can help this humble "American Idol" star become an original recording artist and not some record industry puppet, forced to sing other people's songs.

In a MySpace bulletin, the organizers of the petition had this to say about Bo's fledgling career:

"SUPPORT ORIGINAL MUSIC BY SOUTHERN ROCKER BO BICE

Over and over again, in interviews and on his official site, Bo Bice has been getting the message out that his goal for his second album is for it to have more Bo. For example, in June the Birmingham Times reported Bo as saying, "When it comes time to do the next one…I hope the vision will be more Southern rock .... and have more of a country influence. I hope [Clive Davis] will allow me to season the album with more of me" (Birmingham News, June 10 ’06). He repeated this again recently (SeMissourian, Sept 8 '06), “On the next album I'd like to go more rootsy, more country, more southern rock Bo.” If you agree, please join the petition and tell RCA that you want to hear more Bo."

Dear Shoutmouth readers, it's time to do your part. Sign the petition today, and let the world know you want the real Bo on his next album. It may be our only hope.
