The 24th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards will be held on April 18th in Hollywood at the Kodak Theater. The All-American Rejects will receive the Vanguard Award, the society's highest honor. They will also perform at the ceremony.

I'm kind of curious as to why a pop awards show is honoring Jermaine Dupri. Is he really pop? Is this a lifetime achievement award for his work with Mariah Carey and the "Money Ain't A Thang" video? Or are they just honoring him for landing Janet Jackson despite only being like 5'1"? Either way, congrats to JD.
