Beat It Ringtone - Fall Out Boy
Before Michael Jackson was a white woman with major court issues, he was an extremely successful African-American male pop star. He rose to the top of the charts in the 1980s with a string of hit songs, one of which was "Beat It." Since the former King of Pop has less of a chance at a comeback than Elvis, it makes sense that a band could cover one of his songs and make a massive hit. And that's exactly what the hot and sexy emo boys in Fall Out Boy have done with their cover of "Beat It."
Love Is Gone Ringtone - David Guetta
David Guetta is a French DJ who has been making music since the 80s. Of course, if you're not into techno or if you live in America there's a good chance you haven't heard of him before now. But you'll know his name soon enough, because his new song "Love is Gone" is bound to be a huge hit here in the States. "Love is Gone" is the first single off Guetta's newest album, Pop Life. The song was actually released in June in Europe, but as cool people are apt to do, America showed up to the party an hour late and we're just getting familiar with the song now. Oh well. We still beat everyone on Kelly Clarkson. Yeah, what's up now, France?
Superstar Ringtone - Lupe Fiasco
Lupe Fiasco has been described as a breath of fresh air in the rap scene. His lyrical flow and self-deprecating style are qualities not often associated with rappers. Lupe gained attention by putting out an amazing number of mix tapes in the mid-2000s. Some experts will tell you that in 2006, Lupe released or was featured on approximately 8,000 mix tapes. They're wrong though, it was actually 16. Still, that's a lot of mix tapes. Along with his debut album, they gained Lupe a decent following and a lot of critical acclaim. By the time he released his album The Cool in December of 2007, Lupe was well-known in the rap community.
Bed Ringtone - J. Holiday
Ever since he was a little kid, J. Holiday wanted to be an R&B singer. However, Holiday, whose real name is the much less cool Nahum Grymes, also loved hip hop music and wanted to infuse his R&B style with some hip hop swagger. The result was a perfect bland of urban music, much in the same way that Sour Patch Kids is a perfect blend of delicious sweet and sour flavors. In fact, some people might call J. Holiday the Sour Patch Kids of R&B music. Such as me, just now.

"Bed" was the first single off J. Holiday's "Back of My ‘Lac" album. "Bed" is about taking a girl to bed, and "Back of My ‘Lac" refers to taking a girl to the back of a Cadillac. You see ladies, the choices are unlimited! That's one of the first lessons they teach in business school: Always give the customer what they want. In this case, the customer is a fly shawty.
Best Friend Ringtone - 50 Cent
"Best Friend" was featured on the soundtrack to 50's movie Get Rich Or Die Trying. Much like the Enimem classic 8 Mile, Get Rich was based loosely on 50 Cent's life, even though everyone involved with the movie said it wasn't. In the film, 50 flirts with a girl named Charlene by giving her a mix tape with "Best Friend" on it. It really shows off 50 Cent's soft side, which fortunately for him isn't any of the sides where he was shot those 9 times.
LG Ringtones
LG brought in over $48 billion revenue in 2007, proving that it indeed was a forced to be reckoned with in the electronics business. Similarly, LG is a major player in the cell phone business. If you've ever been to Times Square in New York City, you might have seen the massive LG sign that stands out even amongst the bright lights of the city sky. This is a microcosm of the way LG has impressively stood out from the legions of electronics and mobile phone companies out there, to become a leader in cellular technology. Millions of people own LG phones, and various other LG products.
Sprint PCS Ringtones
The Sprint Nextel Corporation was created in 2005 when Sprint purchased Nextel for $35 billion dollars. Since then the company has remained a leader in cellular technology, and ringtones are no exception. There is a huge selection of music that you can get on your Sprint PCS phone. Nearly every major artist, song and album is available as a ringtone, whether you like pop or country, rock or rap.
Hannah Montana Ringtones
Hannah Montana started as a fictional pop star on a TV show, played by Miley Cyrus. But now Cyrus has grown into a real life pop star, both under her real name and as the Hannah Montana character. Her latest CD is a double album, featuring one disc of Miley Cyrus songs and another of Hannah Montana songs. The hit "See You Again" broke through with mainstream radio stations, instantly transforming Miley from a teen sensation to a bona fide pop star. Not only was the album a hit, but Miley's latest tour was the hottest ticket of 2007; quite a feat when you consider all the big name acts that toured last year. Parents were paying outrageous costs to take their children to see Hannah Montana.
Leona Lewis Ringtones
If you don't know who Leona Lewis is, you're way behind. Leona won the British show "The X Factor," which is the U.K.'s version of "American Idol." However, unlike many of the stateside Idol candidates, Leona's career doesn't rely solely on her TV show appearance. This girl is the real deal. She draws comparisons to Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and other top singers. Leona's first U.S. single, "Bleeding Love," is a huge hit. The song is currently #1 on the Billboard Charts. Not bad for a debut single.
Spirit Ringtones - Leona Lewis
Leona Lewis, as you might know, won the British talent show "The X Factor." The show is basically the British equivalent of "American Idol," so you know that's a pretty big deal. Lewis is an incredibly talented young woman. She has been compared to both Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Those aren't the kind of comparisons people just throw around. Mariah has like 5000 #1 singles and Whitney Houston is considered by some people the greatest female vocalist ever. So when you hear Leona Lewis' name in the same sentence as either of them, you know she's the real deal.
