You've probably heard by now that 50 Cent is losing the over-hyped September 11 sales battle between he and Kanye West by more than just a little bit. Well, maybe the dude needs to pull a Willie Nelson and cite exhaustion, because he looks and sounds tired as shit.
In this new video, posted to YouTube yesterday, 50 Cent sounds completely drained as he talks with this reporter. In fact, I've never seen him nearly this subdued. He can barely keep his eyes open.
At the end of the vid, the rapper goes so far as to say (and this is on September 11, before any numbers were in) that he might never make another album.
The actual quote is:
It seems exciting. But after a while it's not exciting. I'm not really excited to go sell a record. I probably won't even put another album out. If I do put it out I probably won't go travel to promote it. This album, the actual release of this record, wasn't pleasant for me. The performance of it has me in a space where I'm still comfortable with saying I'll be number one.
Then the reporter asks if 50 is burned out already:
Well, not burned out. I just feel like I don't wanna do it ... anymore. Y'know, this is the first time I ever told people publicly that I been feeling this way for a while.
Then, immediately after that, 50 says he doesn't care what's next cause he's rich already. At that, he says "talk to ya later" and hurries away. Feels like dude is about to have a breakdown. Can't wait to see what sort of quotables we get when Billboard puts the hammer down.
