Dwayne McKenzie, a 26 year old who claims to work for 50 Cent and live in his Farmington, Conn estate, was arrested early this morning after police claim he fired shots at a would-be thief.

According to the Hartford Courant, McKenzie was in an argument with Adolfo Yepez, 25, when Yepez attempted to steal his $100,000 platinum chain, a gift from his boss. Police claim McKenzie then pulled out a .40 caliber handgun he was licensed to be carrying and fired three shots while surrounded by a crowd at 35 High Street in Hartford as Yepez was running away with the chain.

Police apprehended both men after bystanders complained. No one was injured. McKenzie has been charged with one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm and first-degree reckless endangerment and Yepez was handed a third-degree robbery charge. Both men are currently free on bond.

Police retained the .40 caliber Glock and platinum chain.
