50 Cent is opening the escape hatch and looking to jump ship soon after it became clear he was about to lose the first-week sales battle to Kanye West. He's cemented his exit from the fracas by canceling his European shows scheduled for this week.

The New York-based rapper canceled appearances at the MOBOs and the Vodafone Live Music Awards, thanks to a write up from MTV UK. The word from 50's label:

50 Cent is very sad to confirm that due to a last minute, unforeseen and unanticipated change in his schedule, he will have to postpone his European Promotion Trip from Sept.18-25.



So then, what's this unanticipated plan instead? No word on that one yet. I'm guessing it has something to do with a teddy bear, a graduation and a train wreck. Ayo.
