50 Cent has taken bragging to its logical conclusion - pretending to have never heard of one of country music's biggest stars. Well, I think that's bragging.
That's right, when Newsday asked 50 if he was worried about being outsold by Rene Zellweger's ex-husband, the rapper just kind of acted like a dick. Surprise, surprise.
"Who? He's out of his mind," 50 supposedly replied. Idolator, who brought this story to my attention, added that maybe posturing wasn't the best reaction of a CEO who constantly affirms that he's a businessman. Mind you, this is the same guy who popularized man-bras.
Anyway, Fif better keep them eyes peeled, Kenny Chesney had one of the biggest touring grosses of 2006 and he's looking at similar numbers for '07. The Newsday article also points out that Kenny has a rapidly-growing fan base, unlike 50 "I haven't had a hit single in ages" Cent.
Here's to the September 11 showdown. Way to make it a bit more exciting Fif.
