"Gene Simmons Family Jewels" is about to see a new DVD treatment in the form of a best-of set. The common sense-titled DVD, "Gene Simmons Family Jewels: The Best of Seasons 1 & 2" is set for release on August 14, clocking in at 176 minutes and compiling eight episodes.

The package will also feature a bonus episode and cast biographies.

As you might have read a while back, the show has been picked up for a third season on A&E, featuring 24 episodes. It is the second-highest-rated series ever for A&E.
