Apparently, 12 chapters of utter insanity just isn't enough for R. Kelly.
The R&B kingpin soon will release 10 new episodes of his brilliant (depending on who you ask) hip-hopera, "Trapped in the Closet."
The new episodes will be available at the Independent Film Channel's Web site, ifc.com. The site also will stream the original 12 chapters.
It is not yet known when the new episodes will be filmed.
For those not in the know, "Trapped in the Closet" is the sound of R. Kelly losing his damn mind. Each chapter features a backing track employing finger snaps and water drips as punctuation while R. Kelly sings every role in the convoluted story (check out chapters 8 through 11, where he hilariously attempts a southern female accent).
When last we left the saga, Sylvester (played by R. Kelly) and Twan (Sylvester's wife's brother) were holding James (a police officer who slept with Gwendolyn, Sylvester's wife), Bridget (James' wife and the aforementioned southern woman) and Big Man (a little person who has difficulty controlling his bowels) at gun point when it is revealed that Big Man, not James, is Bridget's baby daddy. After a suitable period of shock, it is revealed in the next chapter that Gwendolyn is actually best friends with Cathy, the woman Sylvester originally cheated with.
And no, none of that is made up. Let's hope the next 10 chapters are as ridiculous as the first 12!
