Emo Clothes: Where To Buy Them

There are about a million companies that sell what could be considered emo clothes - realistically, you can go to any random store and find something that qualifies as emo clothes, even Sears. That's the beauty of emo clothes involving some really simple things, such as hoodies, thin scarves, cute fitted t-shirts, and tight jeans.

That said, here are some of the best companies to get really awesome emo clothes, as well as links to their online sites.

Before we get to that, though, how about getting some kick ass emo ringtones?

And now, on to the clothing....

clndClandestine Industries

http://clandestineindustries.com

There are emo clothes, and then there are emo clothes. Being that Clandestine Industries is owned by Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, is there even any question as to whether or not this is an emo company? Almost all the clothes feature the immediately recognizable Clandestine bat logo, or a phrase like "love can't save you" or "daylight is your arch-enemy." The clothing is expensive as all hell [$80 hoodies.... sigh...] but nobody ever said the best things in life were cheap.

rockettRockett Clothing

http://www.ridetherockett.com

The company has a lot of band clothing, as well as a lot of all-over printed shirts, and hoodies with a darker edge. You can get regular Rockett clothing, or you can choose from shirts and hoodies from bands including Set Your Goals, Norma Jean, Drop Dead Gorgeous, New Found Glory, and others. This is the company for people who don't want to look soft, but still want to look nice in an emo sort of way.

skSkeleton Crew

Since Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance owns Skeleton Crew, you know it's cool. Skeleton Crew is, by Frank's own admission, not just another guy in a band's t-shirt company. It's also a record label, a publishing house, and a community. The clothing is all relatively simple, sleek, and stylish, although it is generally produced in limited runs. It's nice, if a bit hard to get, due to them running out of product and taking some time to re-stock. That said, if you want a credible emo look, you can't go wrong with Skeleton Crew.

;oungeLoungefly

http://www.loungefly.com

Loungefly = cute! Skulls, robots, hearts, monsters... it's all there. The company focuses on shirts, accessories, and hoodies, for the most part - and has put out some of the most iconic emo clothes in the past couple of years. They're also not cheap - expect to pay upwards of $50 for a bag or $25 for a t-shirt, but it's all so damned cute, how can you resist?

skeleSkelanimals

http://www.skelanimals.com/

Skelanimals, with its tagline "dead animals need love too" doesn't sound like one of the cutest things in the world, but it is. The predominantly black, red, and white line featuring various adorable, if dead, cartoon animals is a sub-imprint of Loungefly. The company has shirts, hoodies, skirts, pants, accessories, stuffed toys... basically, you name it, and you can get it with a Skelanimal on it. Again, it's not cheap - but entirely impossible to resist. You're not emo if you don't have something Skelanimal. Even if it's just a pen.

gk!Glamour Kills

http://glamourkills.com

This company gets endorsed by emo bands all the time - because they sponsor them. Some of the bands sponsored by Glamour Kills include All Time Low, Cobra Starship, Cute is What We Aim For, Say Anything, and Saosin. The design of the clothing, which is mostly shirts and hoodies as well as some accessories, features bold, all-over prints and words.

adeAdeline Street

http://www.adelinestreet.com/

The company with the cute skull, heart, and crossbones logo has both men's and women's t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, skirts, and pants, as well as accessories. Most of it is clean, stylish, and simple. And while there's a lot of black clothing, they don't forget to include pink in most of their lines, as well!

Their seasonal lines aren't as extensive as some companies, such as Glamour Kills, but sometimes, quality beats quantity. Ideally, you want both -- see Skelanimals for the perfect example -- but hey. Adeline stuff is so nice, it's a treat to see a new item. And it's hard to get bored when there aren't new items every single day.
