The band first began performing while students at Miami University of Ohio. Chicago natives and high school friends Tom Schleiter and Daniel McMahon, who both attended St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, IL, began playing together at the university, and soon formed a trio with fellow Miami student & Green, Ohio drummer Kevin Kane.

After a series of vocalists, another Miami student and high school friend of Schleiter and McMahon's, Alec Cyganowski, joined the group. The band began touring and developed a reputation for energetic live shows,[1][2] sparking a large amount of interest from record labels.

A spot playing at SXSW[3] and nationwide touring ensued in the US in 2007, opening for Hawthorne Heights, Amber Pacific, Monty Are I, Melee, From First To Last, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.[2][4] The band then moved back to Chicago and signed to Fueled By Ramen Records, who are released their first full-length, The Kicks of Passion, on July 31, 2007. Most recently, the band's single "Powerspace Snap Bracelet" was featured in Spin who also reviewed their album, and the band was profiled in Aquarian magazine. The band is currently touring with The Classic Crime, Envy on the Coast and Kaddisfly in support of the album.

Across Five Aprils is a melodic hardcore band from Chattanooga, Tennessee. The band started in September of 2001 and is currently signed to Victory Records. Their name is borrowed from the late Irene Hunt Novel based around the United States Civil War.

The band released its first album, "A Tragedy In Progress" in May of 2003 on Indianola Records. Following the success of this release, they played shows with bands such as Underoath, My Chemical Romance, Norma Jean, Haste The Day, Atreyu and It Dies Today.

After some member changes, the band wrote and recorded their second release on Indianola, an EP entitled "Living In The Moment". Shortly after the release of the EP, frontman Steve Taylor left the band and they picked up new frontman Brandon Mullins (formerly the vocalist for the band Embraced). They toured the US several times and then proceeded to write their second full length release, Collapse. Following the release of this album, the band was picked up in July 2007 by Victory Records.

Since then, the band has been on the road full time. They just completed their tour in Europe, which has been their most successful tour to date, and will be embarking on another US tour in summer 2007.

The Junior Varsity came together in Springfield, Illinois, in 2002. The band has been through a few lineup changes, some extraordinary bad luck [touring difficulties and various robberies, to start], but have pulled through over the years, creating innovative and hard-to-classify music.

The band's first album, The Great Compromise, was released in 2003 on British Records. The band members were all still in college at the time, but the album was critically acclaimed. In 2004, their live performances and the buzz about the band led to them being signed by Victory Records, who released their second album, Wide Eyed. The band toured the US extensively, and even found themselves in the UK with Panic! At the Disco and The Academy Is....

In 2006, Victory re-released the band's debut album with a bonus DVD and the band began to get play on television for their single and video, "Get Comfortable."

After taking some time off, the band began to tour again in 2007, leading up to the release of Cinematographic, also on Victory Records. The band will be touring in support of the album, and its first single, "The Sky."

Driver Side Impact is an Emo / Post-Hardcore / Experimental band from Cleveland Ohio. Starting in 2004, the band managed to develop a strong local fan base, and self release its 6 song EP, We Will Disappear, produced by Don Debiase. They were recently signed to Chicago based legendary indie label Victory Records.

Victory's press release concerning the band was nothing but stellar praise:

Victory Records has announced the signing of Cleveland’s Driver Side Impact.

“I am thrilled and extremely excited that Driver Side Impact finally decided to join the Victory family. We have seen the band develop over several months which makes their signing even more rewarding,” said Victory owner Tony Brummel. “DSI has a unique stage presence that is representative of their danceable, ambient and infectiously harmonic songs. When I listen to their music I feel something fresh and vibrant happening. I think of it as ‘kinetically radiant rock’. So many artists right now are desperately posturing to the mainstream to achieve short term success. DSI is doing something different and uncompromising. I believe that people will naturally gravitate to and embrace the music they are creating.”

All six members of the band are from Northeast Ohio and consider Cleveland their hometown. Jack and Teddy started jamming one day and through word of mouth in the local music scene the band came together. According to singer Branden Langhals, “Anyone can understand and relate to our music. We have a left of center sound that we feel touches a lot of different people. We want people to be able to relate not only to our music but also the lyrics. Some people have called us experimental pop. I feel our songs are like a movie and anyone can be a part of the script.”

Of music in general Brummel says, “We are always trying to find artists that are doing something that is artistically different and ahead of the pack. Historically, new music and important artists have always come from risk taking. Independent labels like Victory can take risks. Risky music is exciting and creates change.” Branden chimes in with, “Victory has the best track record for promoting their acts and Tony and the staff have a vision that nobody else has in the music industry. They are mavericks, like us.”

Victory released the band's debut full-length, The Very Air We Breathe in May 2007, and the band is currently touring in support of the record.

Pharoahe Monch (born Troy Donald Jamerson on October 31, 1972) is an American hip hop artist from Queens, NY. He is known for his complex delivery and multi-syllabic rhyme schemes.

There were rumors his next album, Innervisions, was to be released under Denaun Porter's new Shady Records imprint Runyon Ave., but apparently the deal fell through; Monch has since announced a deal with Street Records Corporation, home of David Banner and Terror Squad. The album was scheduled to be released in late 2006 but has been pushed back to April, 2007. The new album is now going to be called Desire. Monch says about the album; "...it's very soulful, very gospel, a fresh, new sound for me." The album's lead single is the self-produced track "Push", with "Let's Go" as its B-Side. The song's music video and single were released in late September 2006. Monch released a new music video entitled "When the Gun Draws" at a Brooklyn music festival in February, 2007.

Monch also produced and ghost-wrote the track The Future and ghost-wrote the track Hold Up with Mobb Deep member Havoc on rap mogul Diddy's latest album Press Play. His writing is evident in both the content and the delivery of Diddy's rhymes.

Pharoahe Monch's name is derived from the monkey doll Mon Chi Chi. After receiving a bad haircut, which left Monch looking like a "chimpanzee", girls in Monch's High School class began calling him "Mon Chi Chi", which was later shortened to "Monch". Monch adopted the "Pharoahe" prefix after meeting future Organized Konfusion partner Prince Po. He chose the Pharaoh title while studying Egypt.

Lil' Scrappy (born Darryl Kevin Richardson II on January 19, 1984 in North Trenton, New Jersey) is a rapper.

He was discovered by producer and performer Lil' Jon while performing at a bar, when a fight broke out during his set in his hometown of Atlanta. Along with labelmates Trillville, Lil' Scrappy was one of the first signings to Lil' Jon's BME Recordings.

Lil' Scrappy built a strong reputation and eager following throughout the southeast through mixtapes *and the street anthem of 2003 "Head Bussa," which was used as the theme for the 2004 Atlanta Braves. During this time, Lil' Jon inked a deal to bring his BME Recordings to Warner Bros. Records as a joint venture partnership.
