Zao have officially announced that guitarist Russ Cogdell is back in the band -- even though he never truly left. The band will be changing their approach -- most notably, but cutting down on touring, which they find too difficult.

The band, who have decided their real lives -- the ones off the road, outside of a stinky tour bus -- are more important than being on the road all the time. Good for them; I usually find myself pitying bands who are on the road for three or four months at a time, thinking about how hard that must be for their wives or girlfriends, if they don't travel along. The interview also talks about Russ' knee injury -- which happened on stage during Warped Tour -- and how it's mostly healed.  Although the band is changing their ways, they will be staying together and still making music. Good for them.
