Wu-Tang Secures First-Ever Legal Beatles Sample

That's "first-ever" as in "first-ever by anybody in the history of the world" and the Clan has acquired, through George Harrison's estate, the rights to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

They will use the sample in the previously reported on "Gently Weeps" that features John Frusciante and Dhani Harrison.

They say on their site: "The legendary Hip-Hop group, Wu-Tang Clan, has recently cleared the first ever Beatles sample for their upcoming Album, 8 Diagrams. The group was originally scheduled for a November 13th release but due to the magnitude of the sample and the History being made, 8 Diagrams will now impact on December 4th."

They go on to thank "Danny" Harrison, Erykah Badu, The Harrison Estate, and The Beatles. Thanks, P4k, for the heads.
