Hey New York City, prepare for the great smokeout of 2007; Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Mayor Bloomberg announced that this year's Farm Aid will throw down on Randall's Island, September 9.
The three rad dudes also announced that Neil Young and Dave Matthews will make return performances. Acoustic crooners unite.
The announcement came from the farmer's market in Union Square, which is significant because the concert will provide 100% homegrown food to attendees of the show.
Nelson also remarked during the press conference that when his wife mentioned that she wanted to buy an earth-friendly auto he thought she "might have finally found my Maui stash." For the record, I don't know what that means but I think it has something to do with ecstasy or bandanas.
