When I heard Beanie Sigel was going to surrender to police this morning after not returning a rental car for more than a month, I was confused. Last I checked, dude was riding high on a deal from Roc-A-Fella.

Beanie, whose license is suspended, was charged with theft and unauthorized use of an automobile after renting a Nissan Altima from Payless Rental Car in Philadelphia during late-July. It was due back on August 13 but never returned. Not gangster.

Obviously, everybody is wondering why dude needs to rent a Nissan Altima for more than a month and then fail to return it for at least another month. Sigel's lawyer said it was nothing more than a misunderstanding, but let's see what kind of insight or speculation we can find around the old blog-o-sphere:

"I guess it's an upgrade from that Impala he was pushing when he got shot last year. Imagine you're at a light and you glance over and see Sigel sitting in a Nissan." - Eskay over at Nah Right

"thats lawyer language for ‘my client is a dumb motherf***er and didn't realize that when you rent a car you ultimately have to return it.'" - commenter at hiphopdx

"Altima?!?......rented?!?.....WTF??.....dem royalty checks musta been sent to the wrong address...." - commenter from allhiphop.com

Ah the inconclusive world of blogging.
