Bono and company are turning into quite the corporation. U2 will lead the industrial train into the Republic of Ireland by building the first skyscraper there, "The U2 Tower." The band plans to put a studio in the peak of the skyscraper, which will be about 394 feet in the air, a bit shorter than the Empire State Building. Construction begins in 2011 with a pricetag of $284 million.

Can't you picture Bono almost 400 feet in the air, recording the new Spice Girls track circa 2014? That will really be something else. In the meantime, he'll stick to being an activist and winning awards for it, I suppose.
