Trisha Yearwood has officially inked a new deal with Big Machine Records after 16 years signed to MCA.
Scott Borchetta, who co-owns the label with Toby Keith, has had a longstanding relationship with Yearwood. In fact, the two first worked together in the late-‘80s at MTM records, Trish as a receptionist, Scott as part of the promo staff. Later they worked together at MCA, Borchetta as radio promoter, Yearwood as artist.
"I've had a long, successful relationship with Scott Borchetta. And I've watched with pride as he's taken Big Machine Records from a brand new company to an extremely successful record label in less than two years. I'm excited about starting this next chapter in my career with Scott and Big Machine," she says.
Mrs. Garth Brooks also said she's currently on the hunt for songs to put on an album for release in ‘08, her first with Big Machine.
